Updates from Lawrence School, October 2

Happy Friday, Lawrence Families, 
          Here are a few reminders from Lawrence School about upcoming events and activities! 

The Rainbow Run is this Sunday, October 4, from 10:00 - 11:30 am at Lawrence School! Come to this FREE event to get some exercise, have fun with friends and family, and raise money for our generous PTO! As we run and walk around the school, we will have a rainbow of colors sprayed on us so that we will all look like rainbows. This is a very fun event, so I hope to see you there! 

PICTURE DAY is on Monday, October 5! All students will get their picture taken for the yearbook, and families will be able to purchase photos after seeing the sample prints that Lifetouch will send you. The students DO NOT need to bring money to Picture Day! All the students need to bring is their big smiles! 

Early Release Day on Tuesday, October 6 - students are dismissed at 1:00 pm.

Weekend Food Available: Lawrence School receives donations of food for students to bring home every Friday. If you would like a bag of food for the weekend, please email me or call the school and ask for Principal Jim Gaudreau. 860-632-2158 or gaudreauj@mpsct.org 

Finally, our BOOK FAIR is returning on Friday, October 9, and will continue for the following week. Information is in the Tuesday folder. In order for the Book Fair to be successful, though, we need family volunteers. I have attached a form below for you to read in case you are interested in being a volunteer, even if just for one day or for a few hours. Helping students find the perfect book, running a cash register, or even helping to set up and break down are all important helpful tasks that you can support us with.
