News from Lawrence School

Good Evening, Lawrence Families!
Friday, October 30th is a SCHOOL SPIRIT DAY - all students and staff are encouraged to wear ORANGE tomorrow! Orange is one of the colors of fall, with leaves and pumpkins surrounding us!

TRUNK OR TREAT is Friday night from 6:30-7:30 pm at Lawrence School. This is a free event for our students and families, so please join us. We are still accepting candy donations. THANK YOU TO ALL THE FAMILIES WHO HAVE MADE DONATIONS AND THOSE WHO ARE OPENING THEIR TRUNKS!

REMINDER: NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS ON TUESDAY - Lawrence is a site for polling during the elections, so no school for our students.  We will be holding our Election Day Bake Sale - come buy some goodies or donate items you purchased or baked.

Finally, special pictures tonight to celebrate our 4th grade students. Mrs. Middleton is sharing a few pictures that highlight the critical thinking going on in science class! Please read the note below from Mrs. Middleton and enjoy the pictures!

"This week students have been participating in some fun science experiments! So far we've done Glow Ghosts where we explored various forms of energy, Disappearing Candy Corn where we learned about the solubility of sugar in various liquids, and Pumpkin Plummet, where we learned that the size of an object affects its impact when dropped. Here are some pictures of our fun!"
